‘WILD AT HEART:KEEP WILDLIFE IN THE WILD’ at THINKSPACE GALLERY

We have a new painting showing at the ‘Wild At Heart’ group exhibition opening this weekend at Thinkspace Gallery.

The show is co curated by Andrew Hosner and our very good friend Amanda Erlanson.“Wild at Heart: Keep Wildlife in the Wild,” is an exhibition to raise awareness about the precarious predicament of wild creatures around the world, and to benefit efforts to protect them in their natural habitat. There is a great line up of over 100 artists involved in the show and 20% of the sales go to benefit ‘Born Free USA’ and the worlds endangered species. There will also be a silent auction of donated rare prints from Mark Ryden, Marion Peck and Audrey Kawasaki with all proceeds going to support Born Free USA.

To honor the animals closest to our hearts, the gallery will be accepting donations of old blankets to donate to area shelters so dogs don’t have to sleep on cold hard concrete, as well as other used and new pet supplies. The opening will feature the release of a gorgeous limited edition screenprinted poster especially created for the exhibition by the incomparable Aaron Horkey.

Reception with the artists:
Sat., May. 26th 5-9PM

Exhibition Runs: May 26th – June 9th

About DABS MYLA!!

A lot of the time when we explain to people what we do and how we work they say... "Man..you work together, and you are a couple! I'd end up killing my girlfriend/boyfriend if we collaborated on everything we did!" I guess we are pretty lucky...two peas in a pod! Two crazy, work-a-holic, mad dorks in a pod! After years of living, painting walls and working together we have only become closer, stronger and even more in sync. Every day we wake up, paint all day..and keep each other entertained with constant chatter and stupid jokes. Who could ask for more out of life!! We are both originally from Melbourne Australia, and have been living and working in LA for the past 2 years, soaking up the sun and chaos that surrounds us.
